- Here is the schedule of Student Presentations. You should prepare 2-3 slides to present at the date of your project presentation.
Your presentation should be 5-6 minutes.
The slides should describe the problem that you try to solve, the data set,
the systems that you used to do data analysis, and what you have learned from this project.
At the day of your presentation, you should bring your laptop with your slides to connect to the HDMI or VGA input of the projector. If your laptop doesn't have HDMI or VGA, you should put your slides on a memory stick.
- The deadline to submit the final project is Tuesday December 4 before midnight.
- The final exam is on Thursday December 6 between 5:30 and 7:30pm. You need to study all the material we covered in class. The final exam will consist of 5-6 problems that will require some programming for the solution. One example of a problem will be: write Map-Reduce pseudo-code to solve a certain data analysis problem. The final exam is open notes: you are allowed to bring up to 40 pages of notes bound in one notebook or stapled together in one package. We will not allow any loose notes or scratch paper; all notes and scratch paper must be stapled together in one package. Here is the exam from last year.

XSEDE has kindly donated time on SDSC Comet for all the students in this class.
